"JWC builders are seasoned contractors. They do amazing work! They show up on time, and work throughout the day. The owner of the company, John Wrobleski, was always in contact with me, letting me know what was going on throughout the course of the deck building project. I have hired them for many other jobs as well and they always do an impeccable job! I will definitely hire them again for future projects!"

"Aubrey & Sons were terrific. They repaired a leaking seam between the house and porch. They replaced clapboards on the house and the roof on the porch. Their work was excellent, highest quality and fairly priced."

"Joe recently repaired a solid wood door with glass inserts damaged during a storm. I had reached out to Joe and other repair services and door/ window sales reps. Replacement doors were ridiculously cheap looking and expensive; repair services required removal for repair times ranging from several days to "in our queue" for several weeks. Joe quickly responded, "I can do it." On site. In a few hours. For a very reasonable cost. He showed up (on time) with a fully kitted truck. Set up shop in the driveway. Replaced the frames, glass and managed to flatten the bulge to the surrounding area. A true craftsman and a pleasure to deal with. Hire him."

"I recently hired Nick and his crew to paint my upstairs guest bedroom with cathedral ceilings and they did an outstanding job. They also installed over 400 square feet of solid Brazilian Cherry Hardwood Flooring and it came out amazing. I would highly recommend Nick and Company and we will be hiring them again when we need more work done, very polite and professional. Thanks so much for a great job done. Thanks again, Kim & Cindy Doubleday Baptist Road Canterbury, NH"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
