"I hired Darryl after another contractor botched the job. He had to remove and replace all tile on the walls, repair backboard, and remove two layers of tile on the floor where the previous contractor had laid new tile on top of the old. Darryl was professional, efficient, and did an excellent job. He was honest, thorough, and particular about the quality of his work. I would definitely recommend him."

"I hired Dustin and Matt to remodel my deck . They did a very professional excellent job. Originally it was done by an armature and they were able to design a more professional and up to code deck. I was very satisfied with their work and would never consider anyone else to work on my home as they are very reasonable and definitely know their work."

"Sanko Construction does things right. They show up when they say they will. They explain exactly what they are doing and what it will take to get the project done including the costs involved with both materials and labor. In my experience, the bill has never been higher than originally quoted. The work has been outstanding! It is the no nonsense approach and quality work that impresses me the most. I will be hiring them for future projects and am more than happy to recommend Sanko Construction to others."

"We got quotes from other contractors. We decided that his price was the most reasonable (not the highest bid or the lowest) his integrity, communication, reliability, and overall quality of the job were well above what we anticipated and have dealt with in the past with other contractors. Will be using him for future projects."

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
